Bruce Daley, LL.B

Bruce DaleyBruce received his B.A. from Memorial University of Newfoundland in 1976 where he was also awarded the Gold Medal in Political Science.

He received his LL.B from Osgoode Hall Law School. At Osgoode he won the Richard Rose Prize in Criminal Law and worked with, and studied under, Louise Arbour who subsequently served on the Supreme Court of Canada and the World Court in the Hague.

Bruce established his own firm in 1981 upon being called to the bar in Ontario. Since then he has practiced exclusively in the criminal law area appearing at all levels of court including the Supreme Court of Canada.

Bruce is a well recognized senior counsel who has been featured in numerous news articles and on National TV.

Bruce has argued a number of precedent setting cases including a leading case resulting in a finding of reasonable apprehension of bias against a trial judge.

Bruce’s philosophy is that in the adversarial system of criminal justice the smart client chooses a lawyer that best combines the passion of the warrior with the wisdom and experience of the sage.
